Anzac Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day on which we remember Australians & New Zealander’s who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of Anzac, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity. Without their sacrifice we wouldn’t live in the country we live in today.
The Ode of Remembrance
From For the Fallen, by Laurence Binyon
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
Please be advised that as Saturday 25th April is a public holiday due to Anzac day, we will be closing at 3pm today Friday 24th April and Opening as usual on Monday morning 8.30am
